Power Quality Monitoring and Analysis Systems
With the widespread use of computers and other sensitive devices in our professional and personal lives, the importance of recognizing and addressing power quality issues is increasingly growing. Poor quality power not only damages your equipment but also causes downtime which reduces efficiency and significantly increases energy costs.
Inelso provides comprehensive power quality solutions to obtain optimum performance from your devices. We monitor the health of your electrical grid in real-time with harmonic analysis, voltage sag/swell, flicker measurement and power factor monitoring. We guarantee maximum efficiency, minimum failures and optimized energy costs throughout the lifetime of your plant and equipment.
Core elements of our solution approach to power quality issues:
- Grid health through harmonic, voltage sag/swell and flicker analysis,
- Energy efficiency optimization through power factor and reactive power monitoring,
- Equipment protection through instant recording, automatic alarms and detailed reporting,
What are power quality issues?
Voltage sag/swell, harmonics, flicker (oscillation), transient overvoltages, power factor problems, frequency deviations and electrical noise are the most common power quality issues. These problems cause equipment failures, data loss, production downtime and high energy costs.
How do harmonics damage equipment?
Harmonics cause overheating in transformers, efficiency loss in motors, failures in electronic devices and false triggering in protection relays. They also increase grid losses and shorten equipment lifespan. We detect harmonics with Inelso harmonic analyzers and provide filtering solutions.
Why is low power factor important?
Low power factor (cosφ) results in penalties from power distribution companies due to reactive power consumption. It also increases cable and transformer losses and reduces equipment capacity. With Inelso power factor compensation systems, we regulate reactive power, prevent penalties and increase energy efficiency.
How is a power quality monitoring system installed?
Inelso power analyzers are installed at the main distribution panel or critical equipment feeders. Voltage, current, harmonics and other parameters are continuously monitored. Centralized monitoring is performed by integration with the SCADA system. Installation is completed within 1-2 days including training and reporting services.
